Fee, age and selection
Assistant Professor applicants pay Rs. 1,200, or Rs. 1,000 if female, SC, ST, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen. For other posts it is Rs. 900 or Rs. 700 on the same basis. The fee is non-refundable and paid online.
Eligibility is judged on the online closing date. Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen follows Government of India norms, but reserved candidates applying against unreserved vacancies do not get it. The Institute may use a screening, written or skill test, and it contacts shortlisted candidates by email.
How to apply
- 1Register on the IIG recruitment portal at iigmnt.samarth.edu.in and log in with the details emailed to you.
- 2Choose your post, fill in the application, upload your documents as PDFs of up to 2 MB, and pay the fee by 5 pm IST on 10 November 2026.
- 3Send the hard copy and self-attested documents by Speed Post, marked with the post name, to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Plot No. 5, Sector 18, Kalamboli Highway, New Panvel, Navi Mumbai 410218.
- 4Make sure it arrives by 5 pm on 16 November 2026. Postal delay is not accepted as a reason.
