Overview
CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, has announced 18 temporary project positions under Notification No. PS-10/2026 dated 24 October 2026. Selection starts with walk-in interviews held in person at CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi.
Engagement may initially be for six months, one year or the project period, and ends with the project. Total time as CSIR project staff cannot exceed 6 years, so anyone who has already completed 6 years cannot apply.

Age and eligibility notes
Age, qualification and experience are all counted on the date of interview. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates. Final-year students awaiting results are not eligible. If a large number turn up, the committee may shortlist candidates before interview.
How to attend
- 1Download the application form from the Opportunities page of the CECRI website and fill it in.
- 2Bring all original certificates with one set of photocopies, for qualification, age, category and experience, plus a recent passport size photograph.
- 3If you already work at a CSIR lab, bring a No Objection Certificate.
- 4Report at CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi by 8:30 am on your subject's date. Nobody is allowed in after 9:30 am. No TA or DA is paid.
