Overview
A press release from the Salem District Collector (No. 695/2026, dated 16 October 2026) seeks 8 Support Persons to guide children affected by POCSO cases during investigation and court work. The term is 3 years.
Support Persons work in the cases assigned to them, from start to finish. Pay is up to Rs. 10,000 per case including travel, in 4 instalments of Rs. 2,500. There is no payment for periods when no case is assigned.
This is a case-based role, not a salaried post.
Eligibility
Anyone with a postgraduate degree in child welfare, health or education fields, particularly social work, sociology, law, psychology or child development, can apply. Graduates with at least 3 years' experience in children's education, development, health or protection are also eligible. The minimum age is 25.
