Pay and age
Technician-B is at Level 3, Rs. 21,700 a month plus allowances. The driver posts are at Level 2, Rs. 19,900 plus allowances. The age limit is 18 to 35 on 13 November 2026, relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST and 3 years for OBC only against vacancies reserved for them. Other relaxations follow Government of India orders.
29 URSC vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen, 24 of them backlog. Some posts are also reserved for PwBD candidates. See the advertisement for details.
Selection
Applications are screened first. Technician-B candidates take an 80-question written test in 90 minutes (+1, -0.33), with a pass mark of 32 for unreserved and 24 for reserved posts, followed by a qualifying skill test shortlisted at 1:5. Drivers take a 100-question test in 2 hours with one-fourth negative marking, followed by a driving test shortlisted at 1:10.

- 1Keep ready a photo, signature, qualification and experience certificates, and any certificate for a fee refund.
- 2Apply through www.isro.gov.in or www.ursc.gov.in between 5 pm on 24 October and 11:55 pm on 13 November 2026.
- 3Pay Rs. 500 online by 13 November 2026. The Rs. 400 or full refund goes only to those who attend the written test.
- 4Watch your email for hall tickets, since no hard copy is sent.
