Senior Resident
MBBS with a PG degree, diploma or DNB in the specialty, or MBBS with 2 years of work in the department (PG degree holders preferred). Age up to 45 on the interview date. One year on contract, renewable each year up to 3 years. Pay is in Level 11 plus ESIC allowances, less Rs. 1,350 for diploma holders and Rs. 2,250 for those without a PG qualification.
Specialist
PG degree, diploma or DNB in the specialty with registration, plus 3 years of experience after a PG degree or 5 years after a PG diploma. Age up to 69 on the interview date. Full-time specialists get a fixed Rs. 1,27,141 a month; part-time specialists get Rs. 60,000 a month for 16 hours a week, plus Rs. 800 for each extra hour. The ICU post can also go to MD, diploma or DNB holders in Medicine, Anaesthesia or Pulmonary Medicine, or MBBS doctors with 2 years in critical care.
