Overview
The School of Mathematics and Statistics at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, needs visiting faculty for the January to May 2027 session, to teach graduate and postgraduate students. The notice does not state the number of positions.
The honorarium is Rs. 800, Rs. 400 or Rs. 200 per hour, depending on qualification and university norms. Faculty take theory and practical classes and invigilation duties.
Eligibility
- A Master's in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Applied Statistics with at least 55% or an equivalent grade.
- No ATKT from graduation onwards.
- A PhD in Mathematics or Statistics, or NET, SLET or SET.
- The committee may relax these conditions for candidates with skills such as C++, Python and LaTeX.
- PhD students must attach a No Objection Certificate from their supervisor.
Publications are desirable but not required, and teaching experience is an advantage.

- 1Fill in the application form printed in the notice and enclose self-attested copies of your test qualifications.
- 2Submit it in person between 11 am and 5 pm to the HOD, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Vigyan Bhawan, Khandwa Road, Indore 452001, by 15 November 2026. Online submission is not accepted.
- 3If shortlisted, you will be told individually. The interview is in person, with no TA or DA.
