Eligibility and selection
You need a BDS and a PG qualification or DNB in the subject, as per the Dental Council. Professors need 5 years of teaching as Reader or Associate Professor, and Associate Professors need 4 years as Assistant Professor or Lecturer. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for ST, SC, PH and government staff.
Selection gives 50% to the Academic Performance Index and 50% to the interview. A UR candidate may be chosen if no ST or SC candidate is available.
