JKSSB Junior Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026 - 458 Posts, Apply 30 November 2026 to 29 December 2026

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board issued Advertisement Notification No. 11 of 2026 on 27 October 2026 for 458 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts by direct recruitment: 282 in the Jal Shakti Department and 176 in the Public Works (R&B) Department. These are UT cadre posts.

The number of posts may change during the selection process.

You need a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a government-recognised institute, or an Indian university Degree in Civil Engineering, or AMIE Section A&B. Originals must show you held the qualification by the last date. Pay is Level-6 (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400).

The age limits are counted on 1 January 2026. The maximum is 40 for Open Merit, 43 for SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS and OBC, and 42 for physically challenged persons. Candidates must not be born after 1 January 2008. Ex-servicemen deduct their service from their actual age, and the result may exceed the limit by up to 3 years.

You must hold a valid J&K Domicile Certificate by the last date, 29 December 2026.

Selection is on merit in the written/OMR examination only. It has objective multiple-choice questions in English, with one-fourth negative marking. The syllabus, date and centres will be notified separately on www.jkssb.nic.in.
