This notification, dated 3 October 2026, replaces Notification No. 1841 of 2024. Anyone who applied under that notice or Notification No. 03 of 2024, was eligible under the rules then in force and was not rejected need not apply again.

Eligibility
You need a law degree recognised by the Bar Council of India, and either 7 years' continuous practice as an advocate or 7 years' combined advocate and judicial experience as an in-service candidate. Age must be 35 to 45 on the last date, relaxed by 2 years for SC, ST, PwBD and OBC. You must hold a J&K domicile or be a resident of Ladakh.
Selection and how to apply
The exam has a written test of two 80-mark papers and a 40-mark viva-voce, with cut-offs in the notice. Apply on exams.jklhc.in and pay the Rs. 1,200 fee online by 4 November 2026.
