5) Assam bagged the first gold medal of the 37th National Games when their women’s badminton team blanked Maharashtra 3-0 in the finals at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium.

6) Max Verstappen clinched his 50th grand prix victory at the United States Grand Prix after starting in sixth place due to a qualifying violation.
